If the mud is deeper or the weather more humid, then the choice falls on the Forekaster. The medium-high studs have an even spacing, allowing them to grip perfectly on trails with a loose layer over firm ground. The profile is more open compared to other racing tyres for better self-cleaning in wet conditions. The wide notched centre studs brake convincingly on slippery single trails. With the Forekaster you are perfectly prepared for the trails – in any weather.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of a flat also decreases. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tyre. This means that the tubeless mounting of all rims with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid. Also normal Maxxis MTB tyres can be mounted like tyres of other manufacturers tubeless with sealant, because the carcass fabric is very dense. Officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis, only the new Maxxis TR models are available. Tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.
EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, light and very flexible. Thus the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
Dual Compound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. Maxxis plans the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tyres.
